Welcome to Long Division with Remainders (LDWR), a collaborative experimental music project formed in the long cold spring of 2006, by husband and wife duo Helen and Justin. LDWR1: 14 Versions of the Same EP ran in 2009/10. In 2012, we have begun LDWR2: Collision/Detection.

We are delighted to announce the release of Version 9 of 14 Versions of the same EP by the wonderful Volume = Colour.

Volume = Colour are guitarist/artist Arthur Karanikas and musician/visualist
Don Rogers, initially formed to perform closing night of the 2006 Melbourne
Fringe Festival. They use images of Arthur's paintings to create visual
projections around which a soundtrack of open ended, instrumental pieces is
performed live. The concept has been performed multiple times in Sydney,
Melbourne and Adelaide, Australia - including 2007's Adelaide Fringe
Festival.

August 2008 sees Volume = Colour produce the 9th release in the Long
Division With Remainders project series. For Version 9, Volume = Colour
chose to integrate some of their existing recordings with material provided
by LDWR. Employing the remix and collaborative skills of friends Cam Butler,
Michael Munsun, Geosophy and Primitive Charlie, four radical
reinterpretations have been created.

Besides also playing in Infinite Decimals, members of Volume = Colour are
currently working on their next audio-visual show, Lost To The City - 'an
abstract film about the city' with a live soundtrack, debuting on closing
night of the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
